Quantity Surveyor

to join their growing team and work alongside our existing Quantity Surveyor. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the success of our projects and contribute to our dynamic and collaborative work environment. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial management for our modular construction projects. Working closely with accounts and project teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Cost Management: Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts for projects. Ensure accurate cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities. Contract Management: Manage contract administration, including procurement and tendering processes. Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and valuations. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and identify any risks or variations. Valuations and Payments: Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts. Certify subcontractor payments and resolve any disputes. Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with project teams to understand project requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions. Provide regular cost and financial performance updates to senior management. Assist in project planning and value engineering exercises. About You We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in quantity surveying and construction. You will need: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within modular construction or related industries. Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts, procurement, and cost management principles. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a focus on accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively. Knowledge of UK construction standards and regulations. Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Excel and estimating tools. A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
