London About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team specializing in roofing, waterproofing, and landscaping services. From early site surveys and design specifications to tendering and installation, this role involves managing all aspects of cost control and estimation for a wide range of projects tailored to each client's unique needs. The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from roof and terrace waterproofing systems to comprehensive roofing and landscaping packages. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documentation for roofing, waterproofing, and landscaping projects. Collaborate with the design team to develop accurate specifications and ensure cost-effective solutions. Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage variations and claims. Prepare and submit interim and final accounts. Conduct site visits to assess project progress, risks, and quality of installation. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and project specifications. Services and Scope of Work: This role will cover projects that involve a range of specialized roofing and waterproofing systems, including: Hot and Cold Liquids Reinforced Bituminous Membranes (RBM) Single Ply Membranes In addition, projects may include: Roof and Terrace Waterproofing Systems, as well as internal waterproofing (e.g., basements and plant rooms). Hard and Soft Landscaping Finishes, including irrigation systems. Installation of riser boxes, AOVs, access hatches, mansafe systems, fall arrest systems, and abseil/davit systems. Roof cladding, rendering, and rainwater goods installation. Copings and comprehensive roofing packages with BIM modeling and design integration. About You: To succeed in this role, you should have: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the roofing or waterproofing sector. Strong knowledge of roofing and waterproofing systems, materials, and installation best practices. Familiarity with construction contracts, including JCT and NEC. Proficiency in construction software such as Excel, CostX, or similar tools. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with clients and the internal team.
