Key Responsibilities: Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed take-offs from architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labour, equipment, and overheads. Valuations & Variations: Support customers by running projects and completing valuations and variations. Documentation: Maintain and update databases, estimate files, and project documentation. Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing accurate and complete bid proposals. Communication: Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to gather up-to-date pricing information. Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating team and other departments to ensure cohesive project estimates. Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to understand requirements and scope. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
