A well established Main Contractor seeks to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis, based from their Greater Manchester offices.
The company works within several divisions including Commercial Contracting, New Build Homes & Social Housing Refurbishment. This vacancy is working within their Social Housing division, focusing on both internal and external refurbishments to tenanted properties throughout the Greater Manchester region.
The company has a healthy pipeline of work and receives regular repeat business from their clients due to the standard of service they provide. They focus on providing excellent customer service and the quality of the work they do. They also work across a number of established frameworks.
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be office-based and cover sites across the Greater Manchester region, with project values ranging from £500k - £5m.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, your duties will include: Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative Prepare monthly valuation reports for the Management team Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time Value and authorise payments to subcontractors Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, and the Client to establish project specifications and requirements Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and/or Clients/Customers when necessary Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale Assist in the control of individual contract budgets Ensure all necessary contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career history as a Quantity Surveyor within the Social Housing sector, having experience working on schedule of rates.
The salary is negotiable, depending on your experience, plus car allowance and package.
