The Client A reputable property development firm specializing in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. They are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team and manage projects across multiple locations, including York and Rotherham.
The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial aspects of projects valued between £2-£10 million, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You will run your own projects, manage subcontractor tenders, and contribute to the design process. A background in Design and Build with experience in JCT contracts is essential, while NEC experience is desirable but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management. Take off building quantities and produce schedules of works. Formulate and finalise subcontract tenders. Manage commercial aspects of contracts, including valuations and final accounts. Work closely with the project team, ensuring positive collaboration and timely problem resolution. Key Requirements:
10+ years of experience with a main contractor, managing projects in the £2-£10 million range. Design and Build experience with JCT contracts.
