Quantity Surveyor (Hybrid) - Milton Keynes - Up to £60K (Dependent on experience)
A career-minded Quantity Surveyor is being sought to join an established and growing construction business in Milton Keynes, with the opportunity of working remotely two days a week. They have a busy 2025 lined up and need to grow their commercial team to cope with project demands.
Our client has an £11m turnover, expected to rise to £14m in 2025, working within the Education, Commercial, and Healthcare sectors. They have a total of 30+ staff across the business.
A Quantity Surveyor is required to join their expanding business and support the Commercial Director. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can carry out Post Contract work. You will play a pivotal role in delivering Commercial activities for the business, and as the Commercial Department grows, you will be the first in line to run the department in the future.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee material and subcontract buying and POs. Issue and negotiate labour rates with subcontractors. Attend projects to undertake valuations of work completed. Assist with pricing of variations throughout the project and support the delivery team. Attend scoping meetings for new projects. Carry out tenders as required. Manage cross-project valuation tracker.
Typically, projects range in value from £20k to £1.5m, and you will be managing up to 3 or 4 projects at any one stage.
The project background of the QS is not an issue; the company is focused on getting the right person with the right personality who can be a team player and have the motivation to grow within the company.
