Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their large commercial team in Motherwell. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private housing projects and possess excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for private housing projects. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments. Manage project finances, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are met. Perform cost analysis, value engineering, and procurement strategy. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Prepare and review tender documents and contracts. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any variances. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.

Key Skills and Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience in private housing projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Proficiency in relevant software and tools. Knowledge of COINS would be an advantage.
