Our client is a family-run construction company that specializes in construction services for a wide range of sectors. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They work in the high-end Residential, Private, and Commercial sectors and have been operational for over 15 years, with some of their works including new builds and high-end developments valued at upwards of £5,000,000. This Brighton-based company has a passion for delivering reliable and efficient services across the southeast.

Project Examples: New build, Residential:

Design a build of four family homes, featuring 3-bedrooms and master suites. Renovation, Residential:

Full property renovation and extension, including 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and gym and utility room. Extension, Residential:

Rooftop extension to form three modern apartments above existing flats, including installation of glass Juliette balconies and solar PV.

Do you have a proven track record in quantity surveying and experience in managing complex construction projects? If you're a seasoned assistant Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting challenge, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare a monthly CVR by work stream demonstrating the commercial and financial position of the contract by work stream, and elements within work stream. Monitor all Direct Costs & Overheads and assist in managing these costs to ensure profitability is maintained. Ensure all Monthly applications are submitted in line with the contractual terms. Procure & fully on-board subcontractors. Regularly check and value subcontractors' work, agree valuations, and produce payment certificates in accordance with sub-contract conditions. Attend contract meetings and produce any specific information required for these meetings. Assist site and project managers in the identification and recording of variations. Ensure site and project managers are briefed on what is required for variations to be paid against.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor. Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective leadership abilities with experience in managing teams. Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
