We are looking to appoint a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's well-established company. The company is a long-established family-owned Painting & Decorating business that has gained an excellent reputation over the years. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively with various key members. Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring all financial aspects are considered. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures as necessary. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and costs. Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts. Provide regular reports on project financial status to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to construction costs. Assist in resolving any disputes related to costs or contracts during the project lifecycle. Experience

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry and interior finishes is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
