Quantity Surveyor

We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a number of highways and civil engineering projects, based in Sandy, Bedfordshire. Location: Sandy Depot Beamish Close Bedfordshire 44-54k + car Description: The role may require travel across the Eastern region network to any of our depots. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Operations team and Client in order to ensure that Ringway raises accurate, timely claims for payment. They will be required to build a collaborative working relationship with the supply chain to ensure that the contract remains sustainable for both parties, timely applications for payment are received, disputes avoided, and evidence provided for client audits. They will need to work closely with the Operations team to improve margin and ensure accurate record keeping. They will be responsible for managing the work and performance of commercial support staff within their team to help in delivery of these objectives. Minimum Requirements: 4+ years industry experience. The candidate should have a good understanding of the NEC Suite of Contract Documents. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of NEC Term Service Contract. Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience of working on Maintenance and Response contracts but it is not essential. Management of Subcontractors. Understand costing of Labour, Plant and Materials.
