Are you an experienced commercial professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role? I am aiding one of my clients in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Bedfordshire on a Highways maintenance contract.

About the Role

As part of their Commercial Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that they: Raise accurate and timely claims for payment. Recover amounts due under the contract. Manage supply chain relationships and ensure compliance with legislation. Provide evidence for client audits while fostering trust and collaboration. Identify opportunities to improve value for both Ringway and our clients. You will also work closely with their Team to drive profitability, manage records, and oversee commercial support staff.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Operations team and client to ensure timely claims and evidence submission. Build strong, sustainable relationships with the supply chain to streamline applications for payment and prevent disputes. Monitor and manage commercial support staff performance. Drive margin improvements and maintain accurate financial records.

What We're Looking For We're seeking a proactive and skilled individual with the following qualifications: Essential:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Advantageous:

Experience with Confirm Asset Management, CEMAR, Papyrus, and SAP cost management systems. Strong understanding of the NEC Suite of Contract Documents (including NEC Term Service Contracts). Previous experience managing subcontractors. A solid grasp of costing for labour, plant, and materials. Experience: 4+ years in the industry (maintenance and response contracts experience is a plus).
