Falkirk Company: Our client is a highly regarded civil engineering contractor specialising in infrastructure, groundworks, and reinforced concrete projects across Scotland. Role Overview: Due to sustained growth, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will work closely with project leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, provide expert advice on contract conditions and commercial matters, and maintain precise financial control as well as input at the pre-construction phase. Responsibilities: Conduct monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). Maximise valuations, ensuring timely certification and payment. Promptly manage contract variations. Forecast costs and value for all trades. Coordinate with the operational team to secure labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor on-site progress and issue required notices in accordance with contract procedures and timelines. Review and ensure quotations comply with specifications, obtaining competitive bids. Prepare and finalise Final Accounts. Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification. 3+ years of demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering projects.
