Quantity Surveyor
- Required to join a large leading and award-winning Civil engineering and tunnelling company based from a site near Uckfield. The company is an international business, winning awards on major projects they have completed. This company has been established for over 30 years with a £114 Million turnover and they deliver a high-quality service in a range of areas including complex infrastructure projects. This company is currently looking to expand their current workforce and they are hoping to employ a Quantity Surveyor who will be working on a £10m substation project so experience with Earthworks, Roads, Drainage, and Services is essential. Quantity Surveyor Position Overview
Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required. Preparation of valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentation. Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation. Preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules. Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts. Agreement of final accounts. Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers. Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and change. Utilise the costing system. Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required. Relevant Industry Qualification. General Civil Engineering experience. Commercially astute with knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement. Proficient in NEC 3 Option B Contract. Experience using CEMAR. Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications. Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate. Experience within a construction/engineering industry and commercial background. Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration
