Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with Group Rhodes, one of Europe’s largest specialist machine manufacturers in their field. The company provide bespoke and turnkey solutions across 4 specialist companies supplying a number of diverse and sustainable industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly stable business in a long term career opportunity. The position is permanently based in their head office in Wakefield. As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working on a variety of engineering projects, liaising with clients and operating under NEC contracts. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for: Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and project forecasts Overseeing the preparation of tenders and quotations ensuring that risks are identified and mitigated. Setting up and managing projects under NEC contract Issuing early warning notices and managing variations and compensation events Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes. The Quantity Surveyor will need: Previous experience working as a QS Construction, manufacturing or engineering industry experience in a commercial role Experience of NEC contracts Good communication skills with the ability to influence An understanding of manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous but not essential as this can be learnt. Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business Group Rhodes are offering an opportunity to pursue your commercial career in possibly a different direction. Based permanently in Wakefield with very little travel this is a great opportunity to be in a settled role working for a company with diverse exposure to different markets and revenue streams.
