Quantity Surveyor and Managing QS Opportunities Your new company We are working with two of the largest up and coming Civils/Groundworks/Enabling contractors in the East London and Essex regions. They are both experts within their disciplines, looking for individuals with relevant site/project experience to join their team. Dependent on experience, there is the opportunity to come in at either QS or Managing QS level, and you will be given a leading role within the Commercial team for your new company. Your new role You will be tasked with reviewing site works and drawings of ongoing operations to produce material take-offs and then create purchasing orders and bills of quantity for all materials involved with your given projects. You will also be responsible for tendering for on-site labour and subcontract workers who will undertake the construction of site work. Additionally, you will be required to produce regular pricing updates and review the project budget to ensure that works are being delivered both on schedule and to the agreed budget. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate need not be a chartered surveyor, but you will need to possess relevant experience in any of the following Construction and Engineering Disciplines: Groundworks, RC Frame, Enabling works, Demolition, or 278 works. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented with a drive to further progress the fortunes of your new company.
