Job Advert: Experienced Car Mechanic (Full-Time) Wellingborough, NN8 4HB Salary:
£31,200 - £46,800 per year (£12.50 - £18.75 per hour, depending on experience) About Us: Quest Employment is working with a reputable and well-established automotive service provider in Wellingborough, offering top-tier vehicle maintenance and repair services. Since 2018, our client has built a strong reputation for providing a range of expert services, from routine diagnostics and oil changes to more complex repairs such as brake systems, suspension, and air conditioning. The team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer care. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Car Mechanic to join a friendly and professional workshop team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults, carrying out vehicle servicing, and ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, tyres, exhausts, and electrical issues. Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes, battery diagnostics, timing belt replacements, and more. Work closely with customers to explain repairs and maintenance required for their vehicles. Ensure work is completed to the highest safety standards and with attention to detail. Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment with other mechanics and team members. Skills and Experience Required: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Car Mechanic. Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair methods. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications or qualifications are advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication skills for customer interaction. Working Hours: Monday to Friday:
9 AM - 6 PM (40 hours per week, 1-hour unpaid break). Saturday:
9 AM - 2 PM (Paid as a full 8-hour shift). Sunday:
