The Racking Inspector/Rack Inspector job itself, where your primary role is to undertake inspections and safety checks of racking systems, and write reports. More specifically:
Carrying out on-site, ground-level safety checks in warehouses/stores Notifying customer contact of any immediate H&S issues observed Explaining to the customer any poor housekeeping practices Adhering to customer’s on-site H&S rules Accurately recording damage, including measurements and description of damaged components Writing detailed written reports in line with SEMA templates Very occasional work at height (usually via scissor lift or crane) Ensuring details taken to allow for safe working loads to be calculated as/when required You will have
To be successful as Racking Inspector you will be SEMA approved or be experienced within pallet racking, looking for career development and working towards a SEMA qualification.
The Rack Inspector will have excellent product knowledge within pallet racking and shelving and an extensive understanding of SEMA & Health & Safety guidelines.
The successful candidate will ideally be based in Scotland but the role will involve regular travel throughout the North of England.
