This role has a wide scope and requires autonomy in delivery and management of time and resources.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Senior RP Engineer/Head of Profession for RP, the essential responsibilities of the RP Support Specialist are as follows:Working with Radiation Protection Engineers, develop, refine, and deliver the RP training packages required to ensure a common standard and approach to radiation safety for Amentum work.Working with the RP Manager, Supervisors and Trainer, take a leading role in the development of Trainee RP Monitors.Conduct independent reviews of RP related processes, procedures and work practices with a view to drive improvements, efficiencies and to reduce potential exposures.Provide technical support to Rad Engineering teams as required.Perform all other similar related duties as assigned or requested by the Senior RP Engineer/Head of Profession.Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Significant previous experience in Radiation Protection, preferably at a nuclear licensed site.Demonstrable ability in the delivery of workplace training, including the delivery of formalised training to groups.Relevant qualification ( City & Guilds or NVQ) in Radiation Protection/ Health Physics or other relevant subject.Must be able to pass any relevant and applicable client training- support will be provided.You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.Amentum is an equal opportunities employer.Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
