Overview:

Element are looking for Radio Engineers to support significant growth within our Connected Technologies business for our newly opened, state of the art Lab Testing Facility in Normandy near Guildford.

As a senior member of the team, you will be performing a variety of testing assignments. You will ensure timely and accurate test results. You will develop test plans using your strong understanding of Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and test standards. You will also be required to guide and help junior engineers. This is a great opportunity to join a leading, Testing, Inspection and Certification company providing solutions to the Consumer Product testing sector. Making Tomorrow Safer Than Today.

Responsibilities:

Provides technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies.

Accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including creation and sign off of test reports.

Able to oversee and guide problem solving of complicated technical challenges.

Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers.

Assists in the professional development of technicians and engineers within the local laboratory.

Support technical leadership to interpret and apply regulations to a variety of cutting-edge technologies.

Availability to work a morning and evening shift pattern.

Skills / Qualifications:

Essential skills:

Knowledge of ETSI and FCC Radio test standards.

Strong understanding of Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee…).

Reasonable Understanding of ISO / IEC 17025 and quality system management.

In-depth knowledge of testing Consumer Products for global certification requirements.

Has also demonstrated the ability to develop technical knowledge in their chosen field.

Working knowledge of laboratory safety.

Nice to have:

Will have a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications.

Will have a minimum 2 years in an EMC / Radio test laboratory environment.

Knowledge of UKAS Accreditations and quality systems would be highly beneficial.

Due to the remote location of our lab, you will need a driving licence and own vehicle (no public transport).
