This is a unique opportunity for an experienced senior Radiographer to join our expanding team in a long established hospital.

Working at this Hospital, the appointee will be able to provide care of the highest standards with ample time and within a luxurious and clean facility.

In this role, the Radiographer, in addition to clinical activities, will also undertake and manage the administration within the Radiology Department. The hospital currently provides x-ray, Ultrasound and CT scans. The MRI facility is under construction.

This role is for a Senior Radiographer who is able to cover x-ray and CT scans.

The hospital does not offer hybrid working and all posts are on site only.

This hospital was established in Aylesbury in 1832 and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region. The ownership of the hospital was transferred to our new management team in January 2023. By joining our existing portfolio, the hospital is now run professionally and provides clinical care to both private, insured and NHS patients, with a strong ethos on caring for our staff.

The clinical outcomes of the hospital are of the highest standards. The latest CQC report rated our hospital standards as good across all parameters.

Extensive rejuvenation of the estate and updating of the clinical facilities has been completed. Phase one of the projects included complete refurbishment of wards, the outpatient area and reception, staff facilities, x-ray suites, CT scanner and residential accommodation. Phase 2 includes construction and setup of the MRI facility and construction of operating theatre and endoscopy suites.

Core Responsibilities:

To ensure that a high-quality Radiology service is provided to all customer groups. To assist in the day-to-day running of the Radiology Department. To provide Inpatient and Outpatient Radiography services of the highest possible standard in accordance with instructions from referring Consultants and GPs and to assist in the development of the department's services. To treat patients, all staff members and referring doctors with consideration, courtesy and care. To be aware and participate in current radiographic developments. To ensure that Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice. To administer IV contrast. To ensure patients are aware of the procedure for settling accounts and obtaining their reports. To attend regular staff meetings and contribute ideas for improvements and income generation. To ensure the safety of all patients and staff who enter the radiation controlled areas. To keep accurate patient records and manage patient images on PACS.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications & Technical Skills Registered Clinician with HCPC Degree or Diploma DCR(R) from College of Radiographers Evidence of substantial CPD in clinically related and relevant subjects IV injection certificate of competence

Knowledge & Experience A minimum of one year experience in a similar position
