Job title: Radiological Protection Advisor Job Type: Contract Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance Duration: 18-24 months Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £65-85/hr Umbrella Location: Oxfordshire - Hybrid available Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Applicants must have experience of the following: Able to gain SC clearance In date RPA 2000 certificate of competence Nuclear industry experience Able to work under pressure Excellent communication skills Strong awareness of nuclear, conventional safety and security requirements Role information: Provide guidance and advice on radiological safety to ensure legislative compliance and adoption of industry best practice Develop and implement improvements to radiation protection systems, processes and infrastructure Prepare, review and approve radiological protection and process documentation Provide guidance for the onsite health physics teams Provide technical guidance and selection and calibration of radiation monitoring equipment, sources and monitoring systems Provide onsite supervision of contractors working in radiological areas Deliver radiological protection courses to stakeholders Maintain up to date knowledge of radiological best practices and UK legislation Respond to onsite incidents involving radioactive materials Interested in this position? please click "apply now".
