Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available to recruit Radiology Assistants to work within the Radiology Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. We are looking for people who are caring and compassionate and who have strong communication and observation skills to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging environment. You must be able to work well as part of a team. You must be flexible in your approach as you will be required to work days, nights and weekends to meet the needs of the service. Consideration will be given to applicants for both full-time and part-time hours. Main duties of the job

The post involves supporting our Radiologists, Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners in providing quality patient care in all modalities of the imaging department including CT, MRI and the general department. For this role, you will be required to assist with the movement of patients around the examination rooms, to use the Radiology Information System (CRIS), ensure equipment is used correctly and any faults reported and to liaise with a wide range of staff, including those from other departments. Qualifications

English and Maths GCSE (or Equivalent) of 9 - 4 (A-C) NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Experience

Demonstrates good communication skills including written and verbal. Has worked as part of a multidisciplinary team. Can evidence good organisational skills.
