We are looking for two dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Radiology Medical Personal Assistants to join our team. You will be based between Fairfield General Hospital and The Royal Oldham Hospital. The position is permanent and to work 30 hours per week. The Radiology Medical Personal Assistant supports the site-based Consultant team and the Department Managers. They undertake a range of administrative support tasks to ensure that departmental and directorate performance targets are sustained. Main duties of the job

Manage all correspondence, reports etc. for the Consultant Radiologists, maintaining confidentiality at all times and ensuring urgent items are prioritised. Schedule meetings; devise and distribute agendas and the taking and typing back of minutes. Support Consultants, providing transcription services for clinical correspondence. Manage Consultant electronic diaries, taking accurate messages and making appointments whenever necessary. Manage daily reports regarding reporting turnaround for the Consultants ensuring urgent cases are flagged and prevent cases missing trust targets. Manage enquiries from medical staff and GPs including the efficient operation of a 'bring forward' system to ensure an efficient service is provided. Maintain and develop an efficient filing system. Manage Consultant emails, ensuring important messages are dealt with in a timely fashion. Support the Consultants preparation for MDT's, ensuring all records are complete and available for review. Provide post MDT support ensuring clinical records and systems are updated to reflect peer review findings. About us

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE standard with English & Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent. RSA III typing or equivalent demonstrable skills in: -Audio typing -Copy typing -Word Processing A certificate in medical secretarial studies ECDL Skills and Knowledge

IT literate with a practical working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word. Substantial previous experience in medical secretarial and office work. Time management skills and ability to prioritise own workload with minimum supervision. Experience in dealing with members of the public. NHS experience Disclosure and Barring Service Check
