Job Description - Radiology Tech 3 (241223-50003648) Purpose of Position:

Under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, performs radiologic procedures. Level 3 means 2 registries. Description: *Sign-On Bonus Eligible! Practices according to entity mandatory requirements. Practices according to department expectations. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities. Receives and prepares patients for examinations. Receives and reviews requests for radiologic studies. Accesses patient condition to determine proper handling and special requirements. Ensures that all patients of childbearing age are questioned accordingly. Maintains equipment and examination room cleanliness. Prepares and administers contrast media under the supervision of a physician. Operates automatic film processor, inspects radiographs to determine quality, proper identification of film and completeness of exam. Possesses and utilizes proper aseptic technique and isolation procedures when appropriate. Monitors potential changes in patients conditions to ensure safety of the patient at all times. Demonstrates competency in prioritizing individual exams so that critical patients are seen first. Assists in training of radiology students in all technical aspects of radiology. Provides explanation of procedures and answers pertinent questions of patient. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Healthcare’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service. Qualifications: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ARRT
