Our client is winning work packages with Network Rail and supporting other companies working on the network. Your role will be to conduct SMTH testing and work with their customers, with a safety-first approach in mind. This can involve lone working and can be customer-facing. The company is also looking to multi-skill SMTH testers to be able to carry out functional testing too.

Responsibilities:

You will be an experienced SMTH Tester. You will hold IRSE licensure to cover this requirement or have held it in the recent past. You will also have held or hold PTS (Personal Trackside Safety). You will need to be able to drive in this position, as the nature of the work will see you travelling, sometimes to areas that can be remote on the line.

About the Company:

ARM are working exclusively with a multi-disciplinary engineering company within the rail market and we are currently recruiting for Rail SMTH Testers for positions in England on a permanent basis. We are looking for people who are willing to travel to areas on the South West or North West route from their home. Travel is paid for and accommodation is provided, should it be required.

What You Can Expect in Return:

The salary for this position is between £41,000 and £50,000 and will be dependent on experience and suitability for the role. Other benefits include: Private Medical Insurance, 33 Days Annual Leave (Including Bank Holidays), Overtime, and Work Allowance, as well as support to learn new skills such as functional testing.

We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis. As part of the checks conducted, D&A testing and other compliance for Sentinel and PTS will be checked and undertaken prior to starting.
