The Role
As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a close-knit Finance team of four, ensuring the organisation maintains strong financial governance and meets obligations under the Financial Management Act 1994. This hands-on leadership role is pivotal in supporting the organisation's strategic goals and ensuring financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial operations, including budgeting, financial performance monitoring, and reporting.
Provide assurance to the Board, CEO, and Audit & Risk Committee on financial management, compliance, and governance.
Deliver strategic advice on financial sustainability and risk management.
Oversee payroll systems, ensuring legislative compliance.
Supervise the preparation of key documentation, including the Annual Report and Corporate Plan.
Develop financial management capabilities across the organisation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Effectively manage and support direct reports, consultants, and contractors.
What We're Looking For:
CPA or CA qualification is essential.
A minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in financial management.
Proven ability to manage complex financial systems, governance, and reporting.
Strong stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills.
A collaborative and hands-on approach to finance leadership.
