Job Summary

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical services projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and science & research. Your expertise will contribute to securing new projects and ensuring their successful financial execution. You will collaborate closely with the design and project management teams to develop comprehensive bids that align with client requirements and industry standards. About the Company

Our client is a highly experienced, full-cycle building engineering services firm with over 35 years of expertise in the design and installation of mechanical and electrical services. Their in-house design team employs cutting-edge software to produce complex services installations, ensuring excellence on every project. They have a proven track record in delivering complex projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and science & research. Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical services projects. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand requirements. Collaborate with the design and project management teams to develop comprehensive bids. Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market rates and industry trends. Assist in the development of bid strategies and presentations for potential clients. Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client expectations. Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation processes. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
