Raw Material and Packaging Specification Technologist
to join our Technical Team, based at our Brackley site. The role is Hybrid and you will be based from one of our Midlands sites (i.e., Brackley).
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00. What will you be doing as a Raw Material and Packaging Specification Technologist at Avara? As a Raw Material and Packaging Specification Technologist, you’ll ensure legal compliance and adherence to customer policies through the completion and approval of ingredient and packaging specifications. What will your key responsibilities as a Raw Material and Packaging Specification Technologist include? Initiate and coordinate raw material and packaging specification completion process with suppliers Approve completed supplier specifications Input information received from suppliers into Recipe Professor system (database) Work closely with NPD to integrate with NPD process to ensure successful product launches Work closely with Procurement to ensure all new ingredients and packaging specs are completed Raise Oracle codes for all new ingredients and non-printed packaging items Maintenance of live ingredient & packaging list, Oracle code master list, annual gluten free analysis certification Internal liaison and support for Site Technical in external audits for raw material & packaging specifications Provide support with artwork approval where required Provide cover for Specifications Technologists during periods of absence and holiday What we are looking for: Essential Food related Further Education qualification Experience of approving raw material specifications with knowledge of food labelling regulations Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve key deadlines Self-motivated Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels Desirable Food related HND Food labelling qualification The benefits of working for Avara Foods: As a
