We’re thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Raw Materials Planner to join our Planning team, based at our newly expanded fried manufacturing site in Milton Keynes!

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 8:30 – 17:00, Friday, 8:30 – 16:00

Salary:

£32,000 – £34,500

Purpose

To ensure that the call off raw materials and packaging are executed and made available at the right time, in the right place and in the right quantity to meet our production plans and schedules.

Your Duties Will Include Responsible for executing the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process on a daily and weekly basis to ensure production planning and scheduling requirements are met. Creating and assigning Purchase Orders for all suppliers, using relevant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Inventory management responsibility including identifying missing materials, monitoring use by dates and requesting new items adhering to inventory level and production plan. Develop and maintain a good relationship with suppliers, resolving issues to meet requirements. Escalation of all issues to Inventory Manager when necessary. Work closely with Planning and NPD teams to create production plans and fulfil customer demand. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement. Ad hoc visits to suppliers to understand their process.

Skills And Experience Previous background in inventory management/materials planning. Manufacturing/Food Manufacturing experience advantageous. Understand the planning process and the impact on raw materials planning. Strong interpersonal skills. Good numerical skills. Great attention to detail. Problem-solving skills. Data capture skills. Computer literacy including systems; Infor M3, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
