You will be responsible for the efficient and successful delivery of R&D / Innovation tax services to clients, assisting the R&D / Tax Innovations Specialist to successfully manage a range of tax relief claims for clients. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Advising clients regarding the technical application of the R&D eligibility requirements (as set out in the BEIS Guidelines) to the projects undertaken by their company Preparing documentation that illustrates how the company projects fulfil the eligibility requirements Assist in the quantification of the claims, ensuring that the appropriate costs are incorporated into the claims Build relationships both internally and externally with clients in order to identify new R&D related opportunities whilst managing client expectations Providing a world class service to existing clients Assist with the successful delivery of R&D tax projects, delivering technical excellence through a proactive and business-driven approach Collating, reviewing and processing the financial information for the project to maximise the tax relief claim Ensuring the claim tracking system is accurate and up to date Acting as a point of contact for clients Working closely with technical specialists to deliver the most effective claim for our clients Working closely with other departments to drive the most client orientated service principles Supporting the completion of the weekly and quarterly departmental reports Some limited travel to Leeds, London and client sites Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Enthusiastic technologists, able to think on their feet in a client facing role Strong writing skills and able to prepare accurate technical documentation and reports that flow, are grammatically correct and free from spelling mistakes Demonstrate attention to detail and a continuous improvement ethos Working as part of a team, taking ownership and responsibility for quality and timeliness of overall team output Project management and communication to ensure that your individual client engagements are handled efficiently and that the overall team portfolio of clients is managed effectively Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards Relationship management skills with ability to manage client expectations Use of accounting software such as Xero and Iris is desirable Preparation of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet Accounts Data analysis or similar administrative experience Advanced use of Microsoft Office, most notably Excel Experience using Data / client management systems
