Real Estate Finance Solicitor, Herts/Flexible

Our client is a large national practice, with offices across the country, including in the City. They're now looking for an additional real estate solicitor to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a caseload of, predominantly, real estate finance work, alongside general real estate work. You will be acting, in the main, for bridging and short-term commercial lenders. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week, should that be of interest. The remaining 3 days will be office based in the City. However, for candidates living outside London, there is an additional option of working 2 of these days from the firm's satellite office in Hertfordshire. The role: Managing a broad and varied range of real estate finance and real estate transactions including liaising with other team members and co-ordinating advice from other practice areas and departments Drafting and negotiating a wide range of transaction documents including security documents, corporate authorisations, commercial leases, agreements for lease and other occupational documentation Carrying out due diligence, such as reviewing and reporting on title, planning and searches and the preparation of draft certificates and overview reports. Well-established client base includes banks, financial institutions, property development and investment companies Person specification: UK qualified solicitor, probably with 2-5yrs PQE gained in a recognised UK commercial firm Significant experience in real estate finance Experience of working with borrowers, lenders, landlords and tenants An interest in business development and liaising with clients directly We have known and worked with one of the two recruiting partners for c20 years and we know they're excellent employers.
