Hwb Iechyd Cybi is looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist to work in our GP Practices in Holyhead. Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable; however, training can be given. The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries; therefore, excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner are required. Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft Office) are also required as the post holder will be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the practices, including some data inputting. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment, but full training can be given to the right candidate. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post. About us

Qualifications

Good standard of education NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent qualification/experience ECDL IT qualification or word processing (e.g. RSA 2 or equivalent experience) Experience / Skills / Knowledge

Experience of using Microsoft Office packages Experience of working in a busy reception or office environment Experience of dealing with the public on the phone and face to face Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Ability to input information onto a computer system with speed and accuracy Ability to deal with a number of different tasks simultaneously Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing Ability to resolve issues 'on the spot' using own judgment An understanding of confidentiality involved with the post Knowledge of a range of administrative processes Experience of using an IT system (e.g. EMIS, Oracle, WPAS) Experience of working in a GP surgery or an NHS office environment Shorthand skills Knowledge of medical terminology Other Relevant Requirements

Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team member without direct supervision Flexible approach to the needs of the service including working at other sites when required Welsh speaker (level 3) or Welsh to be learned after being appointed to the post.
