To work as part of The Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service in line with relevant policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines, to provide a consistently client focused reception and clerical service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships within Salford Sexual Health at Lance Burn Health Centre and hubs. Main duties of the job

Greet all visitors attending the reception area, ascertain their requirements and respond to those requirements accordingly. Clarify demographics for every patient contact face to face and via telephone and ensure systems are updated regularly. Enter clinic attendances and outcomes onto INFORM in the identified timescales and to the identified standards. Book appointments, update attendances and action referrals. Maintain the reception and waiting area to an orderly state at all times. Answer telephone calls courteously and politely, direct enquiries appropriately and take messages as necessary. Liaise with other departments where appropriate. Arrange and respond to transport/Interpreter requests as directed. Maintain the confidentiality, safety and security of the reception area reporting any adverse matters to senior staff. To work flexibly across the service as required. Working for our organisation

Experience

Proven experience of working in a busy office/administrative environment. Experience of working with the public/customer facing. NHS/health related reception/administration experience. Education/Qualifications

Educated to GCSE standard grades A-C in English and Maths Additional qualifications in Business Admin or customer service Skills

Effective written and oral communication skills. The ability to deal with enquiries in a polite and non-judgmental manner. Ability and commitment to work as a member of a busy multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work on own initiative and organise own day to day tasks. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages Experience of using NHS IT systems. Personal Attributes
