We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Estimator to join an established and growing Civil Engineering Contractor based in Leeds. Key Responsibilities: Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labour estimates. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for consistency with project requirements and cost-effectiveness. Conduct risk analysis and identify potential cost variances or project challenges. Serve as a point of contact for clients during the estimating process, addressing queries and presenting proposals. Provide value engineering recommendations to optimise project costs without compromising quality or safety. Stay updated on industry trends, material prices, and labour costs to ensure competitive bidding. Develop and maintain a database of cost information and historical data for reference in future projects. Refine estimating methodologies and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, tender submissions, and supporting documentation. Generate detailed cost reports and updates for stakeholders. About You: Knowledge of all aspects of Civils for Residential and Industrial sites, from site investigation through to Infrastructure works. Minimum of 10 years' experience in an estimating role within the civil engineering or groundworks sector. Strong knowledge of civil engineering processes, materials, and cost structures.
