Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Administrator to be a core member of Recovery College NHFT which delivers educational courses and workshops across the county. All courses are recovery based and focus on different aspects of wellbeing, mental and neurodevelopmental health. They aim to help individuals who have experienced mental ill health and neurodevelopmental challenges to live the life they want to lead. The overall aim of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the college and the courses that we deliver by providing excellent administrative support. It is a fundamental and highly valued role within the team and the professional face of the Recovery College both internally and externally, We are looking for someone who is proactive and solutions focused, very organised and who has great interpersonal skills. The role is based at Campbell House, Northampton, but you will need to be able to drive and occasionally transport training equipment to venues across Northamptonshire. Main duties of the job Provide full administrative, secretarial, and clerical support, including compiling written reports and day to day management of Recovery College phone, email inbox, Recovery College calendar, social media accounts and general office duties. Organise training venues and resources, including uploading course booking information to Eventbrite and in-house systems. Support the Recovery College trainers to organise course materials and set up training rooms at venues across the county as and when required. To meet and greet visitors, answer queries in person, via phone and email, and direct them to appropriate areas in line with the ethos of Recovery College NHFT and relay messages accurately and promptly. Prepare statistics, reports and presentations as requested by team members. To participate in management of student course evaluations, feedback and quality assurance information when required. Designing newsletters, posters, Recovery College adverts and promotional emails to existing and potential students. Person Specification Knowledge and Experience Essential NVQ level 4 or 5, foundation degree or diploma in higher education or A levels or NVQ in Business Administration with evidence of breadth and level of knowledge of administration and substantial administrative, customer service and other relevant experience of administrative roles and functions. Substantial previous administrative experience Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams. Excellent written and spoken English language skills Confidence in learning and using non MS Office software and systems Desirable Previous experience of working in an educational setting Experience of working within the mental health setting A good level of creativity to be able to design communications such as flyers, presentations and newsletters Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities and regular deadlines Able to use own initiative to organise their own workload, support others in the team and adjust priorities when necessary
