Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call support Job Overview: My Client is seeking an experienced Manager for a 4-Bed Childrens Residential Home in Coventry. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to supporting children aged 5-17 who have experienced complex trauma. You will be setting up a new home, building your own team, and creating a therapeutic environment aligned with the Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) model of care. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will ensure a high-quality service focused on safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all operations to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and standards requirements, including: Children Acts 1989 & 2004 Care Standards Act 2000 Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018; 2020) Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring they are protected from harm and abuse. Implement and embed the DDP model of care across all areas in line with the Statement of Purpose. Develop, supervise, and support the staff team, including the Deputy Manager. Maintain accurate records in compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015. Oversee budgeting, admissions, discharges, and rota management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Social Workers, CAMHS, and other professionals. Coordinate with commissioning partners, LSCB, and Ofsted. Facilitate staff training, supervision, and development. Maintain the homes high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Requirements: Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards) Full UK Driving Licence and business motor insurance Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience working with children and young people Minimum of 2 years in a senior or deputy manager role At least 1 year supervising and managing staff in a care role Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children and young people Thorough understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks, including the Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards Leadership and human resource management skills Proficiency in budget management and service planning Knowledge of the DDP model, including the ability to apply Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE) principles Benefits: 25 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays Life insurance Wellness programme Company pension Employee assistance programme Discounted or free food On-site parking Work-from-home days and growth opportunities
