Purpose of Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with recruiting managers to attract and recruit high-quality candidates for a dynamic organisation.

In this role, they will support the Resourcing Partner by coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, delivering a high-quality, customer-focused, and timely service. They will provide expert guidance on recruitment and selection practices to ensure compliance with policies and to support the organisation’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Additionally, they will monitor and report on recruitment effectiveness, including performance against service level agreements, advertising spend and efficiency, and progress in attracting a diverse range of candidates.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Resourcing Partner to provide comprehensive recruitment advice to managers across the organisation.
  • Support job design and the development of inclusive job descriptions and person specifications that reflect the organisation’s values, including safeguarding and diversity.
  • Utilise job evaluation frameworks to confirm senior job gradings.
  • Assist in crafting consistent adverts that promotes the organisation’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
  • Coach managers on developing effective selection criteria for applications and interviews, ensuring adherence to employment law and best practices.
  • Advise on advertising strategies and provide guidance on additional media options for job postings as needed.
  • Assist managers in selecting recruitment agencies, including identification of specialist agencies and negotiation of placement fees.
  • Identify additional selection methods (e.g., presentations, tiered interviews) to enhance the recruitment process.
  • Verify all relevant recruitment documentation (job descriptions, evaluations, grades, selection criteria, advert copy) before handing over to the People & Culture Administration team for shortlisting and interviews.
  • Advise managers post-interview to ensure compliance with appointment processes, including starting salary recommendations.
