Recruitment Assistant

on a fixed-term 6 month contract to join our Young Learner team and play a vital role in recruiting approximately 100 temporary staff to work on our residential Young Learner courses this summer. You will gain valuable experience in the fast-moving and exciting sector of international education and see the results of your work in action changing the lives of young people. This role would suit someone with well-developed communication skills who has some previous experience in recruitment or high-volume administration, or someone who has worked for a recruitment agency looking to develop their career in-house in recruitment. The deadline for applications is Sunday 12th January. Main responsibilities include: Reviewing applications and identifying suitable candidates to move to the next stage of the process Managing communication with candidates, responding to queries and providing updates on their application/pre-employment status Assisting in the coordination of online video interviews and supporting with conducting interviews Processing a high volume of pre-employment documents, including references, right to work checks and DBS checks, ensuring accuracy and completeness Using our recruitment management system to track and manage candidate journeys, ensuring a positive experience for applicants and data integrity Supporting our small but very busy department with other requirements, such as operations admin, as necessary This role will start at the beginning of February and candidates must be available for the full 6 month contract. This role is predominantly based at our head office in Cambridge. A DBS check will be requested in the event of a successful application. About You

Previous experience in recruitment, project admin or related field would be advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines Flexible and able to take initiative Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word Experience of carrying out HR pre-employment checks (e.g. right to work checks, references and DBS checks) Interviewing experience About Us
