Our client designs and develops specialist equipment for engineering/science based applications. We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to architect, develop and maintain software for their next generation of systems. Ideal candidates will be degree qualified with 5+ years industrial experience. This role offers the opportunity to lead a small software engineering team. Skills sought include: Development experience in C and/or C++ Demonstrable experience of architecting, designing and building software systems Understanding of full Software Development Life Cycle (UML) Understanding and appreciation of code version control Ability to write and review technical documents The following skills would also be beneficial: Linux Embedded Systems QT framework MFC framework Large data sets (HDF) The company offers a relaxed and friendly working environment with some flexibility on working hours including flexible start/finish times. Opportunities for a 4-day week, 4.5-day week, or 9-day fortnight are available.
