positive change. The SUICPS Coordinator will develop systems and practice aimed at expanding opportunities for visible recovery both within the substance use service and the wider community. The SUICPS Coordinator will be responsible for establishing effective partnerships andnetworks within the borough of TH to develop a robust and effective recovery community thereby supporting theaims of the THRSS. The SUICPS Coordinator will actively promote the THRSS opportunities and will recruit, train, develop and line manage both representatives of those with lived/living experiences, both at service delivery and strategic levels. The SUICPS is responsible for working with Janus directors to identify key opportunities for the identification of development and growth of the THRSS Key Activities:
With support, will lead on the recruitment and training of the SUICPS reps.
With support, will lead on the development of engagement and feedback systems for those with lived/living experience of substance use.
Work closely with the Substance Misuse Integrated Commissioning (SMIC) team, drug treatment services, and relevant partners and stakeholders.
Support asset-based community development by promoting and establishing assertive partnerships with community groups
With support, will engage with, train, and supervise the SUIPS reps.
Produce reports on activity, outputs and outcomes to the Janus directors
Attend regular supervision and training opportunities.
Facilitate training to those with lived/living experiences and partners.
Ensure all safeguarding issues, including child protection are dealt with in accordance with Janus policies and procedures.
To recognise personal and professional boundaries and work within clinical frameworks.
Establish networking / partnerships in line with SUICPS objectives
Support campaigning and community events, such as dry Jan, Windrush, Diwali, Eid, Pride etc
Reach out to marginalised groups to ensure awareness of SUICPSand encourage engagement.
Lead on social media communication and digital promotion.
With the commissioners create a robust feedback process.
Support SUICPS to attend training and personal development.
Feed into research and monitoring
