About the team The Careers & Employability team within the Office of Student Success delivers innovative career education, work-integrated learning programs, and student employment initiatives that prepare graduates for meaningful careers in an evolving global workforce. The Office also works closely with Schools and Divisions throughout the University to deliver a range of strategic and operational services and outcomes. Why Your Role Matters The Equity & Employability Project Officer role is an important member of the Careers & Employability team and reports to the Strategic Projects Manager. The role provides support for careers & employability programs for students from university identified equity cohorts. The role drives innovative careers and employability programs for equity cohorts and monitors student progress. Other tasks include administrative duties, event management, communications, and performing duties as directed by the manager. About You We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about equitable student outcomes and thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. With demonstrated experience in timely project and/or event management, you also have proven experience in researching and maintaining documentation. You manage sensitive information with care, always ensuring confidentiality, and you consistently deliver work to a high standard. With the capacity to work autonomously, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, you also love to work collaboratively in a team environment. Your well-developed written communication skills enable you to write, proofread, and post on social channels specific to the projects you are working on. You communicate complex information clearly, facilitate discussions, and build strong working relationships, with the ability to adapt your communication based on the audience. You are degree qualified and/or demonstrate relevant experience in administration, project, and/or events management within a large and complex organisation. You also have high-level skills across MS Office programs, and your demonstrated experience managing social channels will be highly regarded. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 19 December 2025 and will be based at Western’s Kingswood Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Higher Education Worker Level 6 - $110,472 to $118,410 p.a. (comprising base salary of $93,350 to $100,058 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading). Closing Date:
