Referral Unit Advisor

to join our team. Working in an administrative capacity, you will work in the Referral Unit within the east Kent locality, taking calls and emails from Acute Trusts, GPs, and patients in the community. The role will be to process the referral and refer to the relevant team in a timely manner, focusing on the patient experience. Patient engagement and quality of administration are paramount in this role. Patients are at the heart of what we want all of our team to share in that ethos. If you really want to make a difference to our patients in the community, then please apply or get in touch to hear more about the role and community care. Rated 'outstanding' by the CQC, we've got a passion for delivering high standards of patient care and excellent services to improve the health of our communities. To do this, we need outstanding people who share our values:

Compassionate, Aspirational, Responsive, Excellent. We know a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion leads to better patient care and a happier workforce. We pride ourselves on being diverse and welcome applications from people with varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want you to be able to work in a way that is best for us, for our patients, and for you. Talk to us about a flexible working arrangement that won't involve sacrificing time for personal interests or family commitments. We'll support you to work flexibly in a way that will suit us both.

At KCHFT, we strongly encourage colleagues in clinical and non-clinical roles who have direct or social contact with patients to be fully vaccinated. This ensures the safety of you, your colleagues, and the patients we serve.

The referral unit runs 7 days a week. The hours for this role will be 5 x 7.5 hours a day over a 7-day period. These hours will be between 08:00 & 22:00hrs, Monday to Sunday (including all bank holidays) with 1 weekend in 4 and 1 late shift a week. The rota is produced 3 months in advance so you will have plenty of notice for your shifts.
