Our client, a long-established and reputable business, is seeking a skilled Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and installing refrigeration, air conditioning, and associated equipment.

Reporting to the local Branch Manager, you will work as an integral member of an experienced engineering team, providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and trainees.

Key Responsibilities

Perform service work and repairs on a variety of refrigeration, air conditioning, and related equipment. Install and commission both new and used refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Conduct planned maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently and effectively. Provide detailed feedback to the Branch or Service Manager regarding equipment condition, enabling proactive follow-up by the sales team. Participate in the company's on-call system after a reasonable onboarding period, offering 24-hour support to customers. Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and trainees. Maintain high-quality standards in all work performed. Accurately complete administrative tasks, including job cards, maintenance reports, timesheets, and other documentation. Ensure all work is carried out safely, adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining equipment in good condition. Share feedback to help improve the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental systems.

Qualifications & Experience Level 2 or Level 3 City & Guilds RACHP qualification. F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification (preferred but not essential). Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, particularly regarding refrigeration and HVAC industry risks. Hands-on engineering experience, with the flexibility to travel to customer sites. A customer-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills, as you will often interact directly with clients. Willingness to work additional hours, if necessary, to meet customer needs.
