37hrs/week 07.30-15.30 Monday to Thursday (30mins lunch break) 07.30-14.30 Friday (no lunch break) Roxel is an Anglo-French Company that designs, develops and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles. Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France and it has an annual turnover of about £100M and nearly 700 staff. The UK operations are entirely based at Summerfield, Kidderminster where we have a permanent vacancy for a Logistics Team Leader to join the Logistics Department. We are looking for an experienced Logistics/Warehouse Team Leader to support and oversee all logistics/warehouse everyday activities. To ensure efficient and effective process utilisation, and maximise day to day productivity. The Team Leader’s responsibilities include supervision of employees, co-ordinating daily logistical operations, ensuring the quality of goods and services, and preparing all relevant documentation as required. The successful candidate should be experienced in optimising all logistics and warehousing processes and be an effective team leader/supervisor, dependable, with excellent organisational and time management skills. Main Responsibilities

Promote zero harm objective by operating in accordance with any Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors. Maintain and carry out Risk and COSHH assessments as required in conjunction with Cell Management. Manage multiple energetic and inert storage facilities across site. Manage and report on all logistics/warehouse activities/productivity. Control and manage site storage facilities by tracking and co-ordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials across site. Ensure that inventory records on the business ERP system (Tropos) are always current and accurate. Carry out regular audit and checks of orders, invoices, items received, inventory, and deliveries to ensure accuracy. Perform Perpetual Inventory (PI) counts and support stock checks as required by the business to maintain accurate inventory records. Act in the role of Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) for the site as required. Assess the risks of transporting dangerous goods and help prevent these risks for Roxel. Reporting incidents and accidents involving dangerous goods to the Department for Transport. Monitoring compliance with the legal requirements governing the carriage of dangerous goods. Provide advice on how to transport dangerous goods safely. Investigating any accidents or infringements of regulations and keeping records of them through reports. Monitoring the provision of training and advice to other staff. Completing annual audit reports. Report maintenance issues to main standards, and follow-up as required. Perform daily inspections of Logistics/Warehouse grounds and buildings. Co-ordinate activities to maintain departments vehicles and equipment. Conduct Level 1 QRQC and SQCDPI daily meetings. Develop logistics processes and procedures by adopting a continuous improvement approach, analysing the causes of concerns and developing countermeasures to root causes. Develop relationships with other departments and support meetings as required. Support the development of the supply chain process and ensure that it is integrated, effective and capable of supporting business requirements. Ensure adherence to a 6S methodology, through training and continued coaching, thus ensuring a well organised working environment. People Management

Supervise the team ensuring expectations are clear to maximise efficient productivity and achievement of targets through adequate staffing levels. Motivate the team to operational success through feedback and coaching. Carry out PDR’s for team members. Monitor and manage attendance levels for the team, including conducting of Return to Work interviews and providing input and support for Absence Reviews when required. Authorise holiday requests as appropriate ensuring minimum staffing levels are maintained. Deal with performance issues within the team including informal performance counselling and provide support for disciplinary investigations as appropriate. Identify training needs and implement training and development activity in line with skills matrices in accordance with business needs. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them. Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors. Qualifications

Essential Qualifications: A GCSE in English and Maths (Good Pass, equivalent of 9 to 4). A Forklift Truck Licence (Ideally counterbalance). Desirable Qualifications: A L3 ILM Qualification or willingness to work towards. An IOSH Managing Safely Qualification or willingness to work towards. A minimum level of Yellow Belt qualification or equivalent in Lean Manufacturing Techniques. Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) Qualification or willingness to work towards. Working Experience: Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing / warehouse environment. Able to demonstrate experience of successfully managing a team. IT literate with experience of working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and Outlook) and MRP Systems (TROPOS or other in-house system would be desirable). Experience of managing within a Lean Culture e.g. Kaizen, Kanban, 7 waste principles, SQCDPI techniques. Experience of carrying out Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments. Experience of Managing within a EN9100 or Quality Management System culture. Person Specification
