Job Description Overview: Working closely with and supporting the Group Commercial Director to maximise opportunities in the region, focusing on building agent relationships, developing educational partnerships, and selling professional development programmes across all BSC locations. The post holder will need to retain and develop existing clients and secure new customers and partnerships for BSC’s portfolio. The successful candidate will be comfortable selling to the Adult and Young Learner market, as well as schools and commercial organisations.
Responsibilities:
Assume the role of strategic product specialist, maintaining expert and up-to-date knowledge of the ELT, Further Education, and Professional Development sector, monitoring trends & competitor activity, and reporting on market intelligence.
Manage a variety of corporate and public sector relationships; build on current relations and forge new links that will enhance the reputation of the organisation within the education and industry sectors.
Responsible for managing high-value partnerships and developing long-term strategies to secure multi-year strategic partnerships.
Work alongside the Directors of Strategy and Operations to develop the product portfolio in line with demonstrable market trends and needs.
Develop and implement marketing and recruitment plans for designated target markets to achieve annual sales targets and agreed KPIs.
Manage and develop existing and new key accounts, driving repeat sales through B2B networks.
Research the market to understand current trends in Professional Development, identify appropriate accrediting organisations, and embed these within BSC’s portfolio.
Monitor leads, opportunities, and pipeline ensuring conversion rates increase year-on-year.
Manage a Regional Team as appropriate, ensuring that all agent records are active and up to date.
Attend events, conferences, exhibitions, and workshops to increase awareness of BSC, generate leads, and convert business.
Work closely with the marketing team, via the Group Commercial Director, to provide market intelligence, identify opportunities, and collaborate on marketing campaigns and collateral.
Prepare and deliver webinars and Product Knowledge sessions as required.
Liaise with key partners on potential opportunities.
Manage challenging situations with partners as required.
Provide support to all teams across BSC as required, liaising closely with all departments regarding new business proposals to ensure that the proposed plans are commercially viable and fit within the BSC product portfolio.
Maintain in-depth product knowledge of BSC’s portfolio for ELT, Teacher Training, OET, Pathways streams, and Professional Development programmes, as well as all new products as they become available for sale.
