A day in the life of… As our dynamic, revenue generating Regional Business Development Manager, you’ll be tasked with driving sales across a diverse portfolio of UK hotels all branded as Mercure hotels, part of the Accor Family. You’ll take over an existing ‘warm base’ of clients who you’ll need to proactively account manage to drive business growth and spot opportunities for new revenue generation. You'll be responsible for identifying potential clients and hunting out new business opportunities, with a ‘go get it attitude’ focused on driving business across the group of hotels which spans from Brighton to Inverness, always thinking about the bigger picture and working towards clear revenue centred KPI’s. You’ll ‘Plug into our matrix of existing Aimbridge colleagues, brand partners and internal hotel stakeholders to gain maximum exposure and benefit from brand managed accounts and brand commercial programmes and initiatives. What do we need from you? Sales Experience: For this role, it's essential that you have prior sales experience within the hospitality industry. You should be familiar with the sales process, including identifying leads, creating proposals, and closing deals. You’ll be comfortable negotiating contracts and able to explain complex concepts in a simple and persuasive manner, with a strong understanding of the Corporate, TMC and MICE / Agency segments. Communication Skills: As the face of a range of diverse hotels, you should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to articulate our hotel's value proposition clearly and confidently to potential clients. We're looking for someone who can build relationships, build rapport with clients and develop longstanding relationships with them. When it comes to internal connections, you’ll look to utilise our comprehensive list of internal stakeholders to help leverage deals and create opportunities. A Self Starter: This role offers a range of existing leads and opportunities, but you’ll need to be a driven self-starter who can look at the bigger picture to spot key opportunities that will help you leverage deals with new and existing stakeholders for multiple hotels and geographical locations. An Influencer: Whilst this role has no direct reports, you’ll need to be a keen influencer of people, able to spot new opportunities within existing and new business and client groups.
