The Home This post is a regional post which requires you to travel around different Healthcare Ireland homes within a region covering different categories of care. The Role Care Assistants at Healthcare Ireland play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our Homes, providing essential support and assistance to Residents to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. Care Assistants are part of our frontline team, responsible for delivering personalised care and assistance with activities of daily living. Our Care Assistants also provide emotional support and companionship to Residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents. Collaborating with Nurses, Wellbeing team, families and external healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and person-centred care, Care Assistants are essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Main Responsibilities Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families Provide care in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes.
