About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is seeking an experienced Regional Commercial Manager to join their Maintenance, Modification, and Operations (MMO) business unit. This role is vital for driving commercial performance across a range of industry sectors, including oil & gas, nuclear, pharmaceuticals, energy, and more.




As Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll lead a team of skilled commercial professionals, oversee key financial and contract functions, and contribute to business growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact large-scale projects and drive best practices across a dynamic business unit.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly commercial and contract reporting, managing receivables, and ensuring accurate valuation and invoicing.
  • Lead the regional commercial team, including team development and task management.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyzing risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure contractual elements, such as rate increases, variations, notices, and disputes, are managed effectively.
  • Support business development through rate and margin analysis, risk assessments, and tender reviews.
  • Collaborate with operational management to deliver strong commercial support and optimize performance.
  • Drive margin improvement initiatives with the local operations team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls, contributing to high standards of safety and quality.



Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience as a commercial manager, ideally in the industrial services sector.
  • Proven experience managing commercial teams and overseeing projects, overhauls, and maintenance work.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts (essential).
  • Experience with SAP (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills, ambition, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Background in Quantity Surveying or Accountancy (HND/Degree level or equivalent).
