Key Responsibilities: EHS Program Development & Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor regional EHS programs, procedures, and policies tailored to the specific needs of construction operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards related to environmental, health, and safety practices.

Safety Training & Awareness: Provide training to all levels of staff, including site management and workers, on EHS protocols, safety procedures, and emergency response. Ensure that all workers are equipped with the necessary knowledge to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental hazards.

Site Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure corrective actions are taken. Maintain records of audits and inspections, providing reports to management and recommending actions for improvement.

Incident Investigation & Reporting: Lead investigations of any accidents, incidents, or near-misses to determine root causes and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accidents and incidents to regulatory bodies, management, and stakeholders as required.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local, regional, and national regulations related to environmental, health, and safety, and ensure that the organization remains compliant. Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, responding to audits, inspections, and inquiries as needed.

Risk Management: Identify potential hazards on construction sites and work closely with project managers to mitigate risks, including physical hazards, equipment safety, and environmental concerns. Develop and review risk assessments, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.

Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Track and report on key EHS performance metrics and trends, ensuring that goals are met and providing management with actionable insights. Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance across the region by implementing best practices and learning from past incidents.

Leadership & Team Collaboration: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to site EHS officers and other safety personnel. Collaborate with site management teams, project managers, and contractors to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001) are highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior EHS role within the construction industry or related sectors. Proven experience in managing safety programs, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with construction safety standards. Strong understanding of construction-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and best practices.
