About the role Fixed-term until 31st March Ceredigion County Council and Powys County Council continue to work together to support work in partnership to drive forward the Mid Wales economy – under the Growing Mid Wales work. Energy is a key area that is being co-ordinated strategically at a regional level. Work has been underway in developing a regional energy strategy and action plan, supporting the work of local partners in developing their Local Areas Energy Plans.We are now looking for a capable and enthusiastic lead officer to take forward a growing resource to provide dedicated leadership and guidance to this key agenda in Mid Wales.You will be working in a highly visible and prominent role in the region, that will entail: Lead the Regional Energy function for Growing Mid Wales – establishing a programme of work to develop and implement strategies and projects that are supported by the region and supports the work of the two Local AuthoritiesProject-manage the delivery of Mid Wales Energy Strategy (MWES)Strategic regional lead of the creation and delivery of Ceredigion and Powys Local Area Energy Plans (LAEP), supporting Local Authority officersBuild strong and effective relationships with stakeholders to support delivery of the MWES and LAEPsManagement and delivery of assigned projects within a Programme environment on time and within budgetContinuously monitor progress of programme/project activities, and track benefit realisation and delivery of intended resultsKeep abreast of strategies and policies relevant to the energy agenda and communicate as appropriateManage the grant budget and line manage 1 FTE (Regional Energy Officer) Job Description and Person SpecificationGet in touchFor further information please contact Carwyn Jones-Evans at Note: We reserve the right to extend the application closing date.
